Katelen over at "The Poetic Artist" had posted pictures of her 85 year old mother and a tube of red lipstick. I was hooked on the beauty of her putting on that red lipstick and asked her if I could paint her. Here is the painting that was inspired by that sweet blog. She is beautiful.....
I love it and I'm sure Katelen will love it too. Her mom is a gem. Great job Joji.
ReplyDeleteHow precious this is Joji!
ReplyDeleteYou know I am almost tempted to paint it too. I hope you don't mind if I give it a stab? Of course I won't be able to do what you do, but perhaps my version. What do you think?
ReplyDeletewonderful piece joji!
ReplyDeleteJoji,
ReplyDeleteI just am getting on line and saw this painting. It is wonderful.. You captured it perfect..It made me smile and then cry. My Mom is in the hospital now..
All prayers needed.
Thank you,
Love,
Katelen

ReplyDeleteWhat a special gift for Kathleen......so precious.....
ReplyDeleteHa! You indeed have a WalMart guy. What is it about WalMart and weird people? And what does that say about me since I shop there too? I need to spend a couple of hours just sitting on a bench in WalMart with a sketch pad so I can get lots of face ideas. I've never heard of the Blue People. BTW- love your lady with the red lipstick.
ReplyDeleteYou've captured Katelen's Mom so beautifully and the fine art of loving herself and her daughter with that tube of bright red love! So grateful to Katelen for leading me to your beautiful blog! What a kind friend you are, you've made her so happy:)
