HELP......How do I ship a Giant canvas.

I'm really enjoying working on such a large canvas. Its like a mini mural. LOL. But if I decide to sell her how in the world do I ship it?. Its 30" by 40"....Any of my fellow artist shipped anything this large before ? If you have please give me a clue to the best way to do it. She's not finished but shes getting close.

  2. I've shipped bigger. UPS Ground, cover w/ lots of bubble wrap and then foam insulation board ( get at Lowes ), cut to fit, heavy cardboard all around . Possibly two layers of cardboard.Lots of tape, to help prevent punctures thru the board in shipping. Good luck, Gina

  4. I found out today that UPS does not want to take original artwork and will not insure it. At least that is what they told my hubby today when he shipped for me. Usually I use USPS, but this time we used UPS (rather large box) and the lady said if it is damaged in anyway, it won't be insured...we could pay for insurance, but that for originals they will not cover if damaged. So go USPS priority. The tutorial was great, my hubby is a master packer now! lol
