Cherries Cherries Cherries

Cherries! Well I can't get enough of them when they're in season. I could overdose on them. My grandmother who lived in North carolina had a cherry tree and we could'nt wait till they ripened...But those pesky birds were always after them too. So this painting in a tribute to that time.

More Birds nests

I've really enjoyed doing these birds nests. A little break from my usual art. I like being schizofrinic when it comes to art. Keeps the boredom at bay. This one is realy large. 48" by 10". It was hard to photograph.
I will list it on Ebay tonight.

Mexican folk art flowers

I've ressurected a style I did last year of Mexican Folk Art. I was inspired to do more after finishing some for a commission I have been working on. It lends itself so well to the vivd colors I love so much. It also works well with the Mckenzie childs style. I sold many a piece to those who also collected Mckenzie Childs. You can find it on Ebay tonight.

Getting that commission done....

Moving right along on my commission to Razzberries. Here is a peek at what I've done so far. It has been fun resurrecting some floral motifs I did last year. Forgot how much I loved them.

BUT I NEED IT, someday

I've been staring at this barn wood I've had for well, I won't say how long or you will think I'm a hoarder. (Aren't all artist hoarders?) Anyway I've decided to do some rustic pieces to use this wood before my husbands burns it in the fire pit. He thinks I keep too much stuff, BUT I NEED IT (someday). How many of you can relate to this? I am not alone am I?

Forgiveness

I feel like I could just swim in a bucket of color. Maybe it's the summer weather or maybe the sermon on sunday. It was about forgiveness and I've started with myself. Thats always the hardest for me. Sometimes it's easier to forgive others and not ourselves. But I'm working on it and all the warmth I feel seems to be coming out on the canvas.

So today if you need to forgive yourself or someone else... GO FOR IT....
