Frida Kahlo

I've been working on this new Frida. I'm not sure how much farther I will go on her. Maybe she is finished. I will just have to wait and see if she ask for more. Talk to me Frida.

It was like Christmas today...

It was like Christmas today.. I recieved my package of beautiful art from Daisydolls Gypsy Caravan it was her first giveaway and I was the very lucky winner. It exceeded all my expectations. I knew it would be beautiful but WOW... Photos do not do your work justice...

I can not stop looking at all the detail. I will framing these for sure. The brush is so adorable I will think of you each time I use it. Thanks again.

Frida in mixed media

I have been wanting to do a Frida painting after watching the movie a few times last week. I have also been itching to do mixed media so here is what I came up with. The saying around her is " Why do I need feet when I have wings to fly". I love Frida so much I don't know if I want to let it go.

TA DA!!!!! I'm Done.......

Finally finished the last piece of the commission to Razzberies in Hickory N.C. I am so happy with all the work. It should make an awesome wall display. I wanted to hang them all up on my wall and photograph them, but I don't think my husband would like all those nail holes. I still may do it. It ended up being 12 pieces and all have been titled. Here is the last piece. I call it Bless this Nest.

Now what is next? I really want to do some mixed media and something Frida . I watched the movie twice this week and i'm obssessed to paint her. She was so beautiful.

More commission work done.

This one took me awhile. I felt stuck. But decided to just start and see where it went. Well I'm pretty happy with the direction it took. I love all the color, you know how I just love color. Only one more to go to complete the commission. I'm sure that will be the hardest. Kinda like the last out in baseball.
